Dear Yuletide Writer:

Firstly, YOU ARE AWESOME! 

Thank you for offering to take this on!  I am super excited to have you with me in this endeavor and I cannot wait to see what you come up with.  Now a little bit about me to, hopefully, help you out.  I'm going to ramble here for a bit as that more information is probably better than none.

I suppose I should start with the fact that I'm a slash reader.  Do not worry if that is not your thing, most of the fandoms I've requested are ones I want world building or gen fic for.  I'm also willing to be sold on a het fic if that is your passion (femslash too, definitely!!). 
One of my Bulletproof Will-Read-No-Matter-What Kink is Crossover fic.  Feel free to crossover any of the fandoms I requested with another fandom of your choice.  However, I just ask that the focus is still on the fandom I requested and that you provide a link to some sort of primer to the other fandom so I can read up on it!  (For example, if you wanted to fuse the members of your favourite show into the This Alien Shore universe and explore how they went about their lives that would be more than ok!)

Other general things to note about my reading habits are that I do not really enjoy fiction that is depressing - this can be anything from a story where a main character dies to a story that has an overarching feeling of hopelessness - I read fic to feel good.  Feel free to explore all sorts of themes and issues if you want I find those stories super interesting, but please keep the tone of the story mostly upbeat (not that bad things can't happen but... I like my happy endings :D)

Tropes I love include (but are definitely not limited to): arranged marriage, bonding, sex pollen ;) (also other sorts of things in this vein like heat cycles and such.  Though I’m not really into omega-verse fics), crossovers (see above), cross-dressing (so much, oh goodness do I love me a good cross-dressing fic), epistolary fic, and I’m sure there are more that are not coming to me right now.

One last thing to note I think before I talk about my fandoms specifically: my Pinboard account is HERE and on it are fic that I read and like.  You can see what I normally read and what I enjoy most.  Two tags of specific note are Extra:Favorite - those are my favourites - and Quality:Whale - these are the best written and also very enjoyable fics on there.

Now on to specifics :)

This Alien Shore - C. S. Friedman

I have been wanting more in this universe since I first read this book... a very long time ago.  I'd love anything in this universe.  Anything!  I latched onto Phoenix in the book and thought he was super cool.  He's the not-quite-normal guy that is pulled into this crazy situation.  I'd love some sort of timestamp with him, before or after the book.  But really, for this fandom I just want worldbuilding.  I want to know what people's daily lives are like, I want to know how their world works, I just want to know everything.  Basically I want more of this universe.
 I said earlier that crossovers/fusions are more than ok and this is one fandom that I think would be completely open to that.  How would My Chemical Romance work in this universe?  What races would the Avengers be?  How would they meet?  Would Link be a good enough hacker to find the information to rescue Princess Zelda?  What would Homestuck do in this world?  There are so many possibilities.  If you are not into crossovers/fusions but like writing Original Characters I am completely ok with that as well.


Tricksters -  Tamora Pierce

I would love fic about how life goes for Dove after the book.  How does she deal with ruling a kingdom, what is her life like, how does she deal with romance?  Pretty much a timestamp of her after the book sometime would be amazing!  Also, as I said before, I’m a huge fan of arranged/political marriage fic.  I’d love to read about Dove and whomever she marries and how they work it out (I’m a big fan of the “we must get married because of X despite no really knowing each other/not really liking each other but we’ll make it work and find out we actually DO like each other (even if it is only in the best friends way) type of story.)  I’d just love more of Dove’s life, politics, marriage, friendships, (and gods) included!

Iron Man: Armored Adventures

I’m super excited that this is a category.  As of writing this, embarrassingly, I’ve only seen season one and a few episodes of season 2 (the first 2 or 3?) so I won’t be requesting anything specifically from after that.  I do intend on watching the rest of the series so do not feel that you need to stick to season one (though feel free to if you wish :D).  I’d love a fic that deals with the High School part of Armored Adventures.  I’m a big fan of highschool fic and I think it would be interesting to focus on that.  In the show we get a lot about Tony’s superheroing and a little about highschool.  But really, he’s a genius who’s been homeschooled his whole life and is now attempting to balance a regular high school life with superheroing? That sounds super interesting.  As for pairings, I’m a fan of Tony/Rhodey/Pepper as a threesome but that doesn’t have to be a focus (though it definitely can be if you want it to be ;D)  I’m super cool with gen and even though I’m a slash girl at heart I would gladly accept anything you write.  (If you want to write a femslash story about Pepper and highschool and being a lesbian I would eat that up with a spoon!)

Whatever you write, dear author, Thank you very much for it.  And please have fun, I've tried to give you something to go off of and yet leave it fairly open so you don’t feel as though you have nowhere to go.
