Hi all,

I didn't post yesterday because we had an early start - we needed to be at the tour start station for our Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath tour at 7:30.

The day before that (seems like weeks ago) we had TONNES of fun and did so much walking that my body is like 'let me rest!!!!!!'  but no, no rest.  We began by catching the rest of the hop on hop off bus tour we got the day before that and sat on the top of the bus (this time the front of the top was covered and we could sit there and not be freezing the whole time).  After the rest of the tour we went to Buckingham Palace and toured the Staterooms (they were open)  OH WOW!!! So Opulent!!  So Detailed!!! We had audio guides to guide us along and it was AMAZING!!!! then we ate lunch that we had bought earlier in the Queen's Gardens (was sooooo cool!).  We then headed straight off to the Tower of London (which is actually a castle) - the place where they held Anne Bolyne prisoner.  We went on a crowded tour of this place and then wandered around - hoever by this time I hurt so much that I was shaking and compared to Buckingham it just wasn't cool enough to hold my attention.  We sat and ate (icky fish and chips blegh not doing that again).  Then we made our way to Shakespeare's Globe theatre... or tried to. I got us walking in the wrong direction.  We saw some awesome sites and got ourselves turned around and eventually got to the globe.  We weren't late and in fact it wouldn't have mattered if we were because they were delayed - they'd had a new play that morning and the stage crew was having trouble changing to Timon of Athens (which is what we saw).  When we FINALLY got in and got to SIT DOWN it was good.  Our view was pretty good and the play was AMAZING!!!!! I had been worried that it would be plain against Wicked from the night before but it was just as good!!!!

Yesterday we went on the tour that I mentioned earlier and it was great (not only because we got to SIT most of the day).  My overwelming thoughts yesterday was a sense of HISTORY! Everthing was SO OLD!  Stonhenge was SO COOL!! I got some amazing pictures.  We were rushed through (we couldn't listen to the whole audio tour).  And we were off to Salisbury Cathedral - very cool.  Very OLD.  We had lunch in a pub? It was good! I had Chicken stew (good meal alert) tasted quite Mennonite actually.  Then we were off to see the Roman Baths at Bath.  The were really cool and old.  But like the day before, by this point I as kinda tired and feeling a little ill so I didn't enjoy it as much a I could have. Still very very cool.  We got back (2 1/2 hours by bus) and I got many awesome pictures of the country side.  We ate supper at a Pizza Hut-esq place. I had a buffet and it was also good!  Then we got home and crashed.

I still hurt a little but tomorrow is mostly on a train so I should get some rest then.  You can Talk to e by pressing the "post comment" button at the bottom. I can read your comments and respond.

Love you all,
B

Hi all,

I'm posting twice today because I have time now and I don't really want to try and do it tomorrow because we are going to be travelling to New Castle tomorrow and I want to sleep in as long as possible.  (That made sense in my head, but I'm really tired so it might not...)

Today was really good.  We started late (8:00) and got caught up so we actually got started even later. But it was really relaxed so that was awesome!  We went to the National Gallery!  I saw some very famous paintings (and R is a painter so she was SUPER excited).  I did get to see the painting I based my "Fruits of the Renaissance" essay on so that was awesome.  I also saw so Byzantinian art which was super cool.

Then we had a nap (YAY).  Lunch had been at the National Cafe that was hooken onto the Gallery.

At about 5:00 we went to the London Dungeons.  This is a really good horror house/theme ride.  It is all based on the various things that have happened to London. Like the plague, Jack the Ripper, Sweeny Todd, various excecutions and courts, torture, and Hangings.  They had people in costume and everything.  It was super cool!  It included a water ride and a drop ride.

All in all a nice and relaxed day - my body still feels like it is going to collapse.
Goodnight all,
B
