Dear Yuletide Writer:

Firstly, YOU ARE AWESOME!

You are the best! I'm sure I'll love anything you make. I have all the fandom specific stuff at the bottom so skip to that if you want. I am super excited to have you with me in this endeavor and I cannot wait to see what you come up with. Now a little bit about me to, hopefully, help you out. I'm going to ramble here for a bit as that more information is probably better than none.

 

A general note about my reading habits is that I don’t enjoy fiction that is depressing - this can be anything from a story where a main character dies to a story that has an overarching feeling of hopelessness - I read fic to feel good. Feel free to explore all sorts of themes and issues, but please keep the tone of the story mostly upbeat (not that bad things can't happen but... I like my happy endings :D)

 

Do Not Wants
Things that will make me feel like shit if I read them:

• Non-con, non-sexual romantic gestures (eg. Non-con hugs)
• Bullying between the main couple (if there is one). (if there was past bullying and it is addressed and dealt with in a realistic way, I’m down. But ignoring it, or worse, treating it like a playful “pulling pigtails” thing isn’t okay)
• For Porn: Humiliation
• Unhappy Endings
• Fics with a general air of sadness or depression
• Anything that involves a close look at a pandemic (our IRL pandemic as a general world background state is okay, someone trying to cure a sci-fi pandemic is not)

Things that will make me avoid a fic out of hand:

• Adultery/Cheating/Lying to a partner
• Generational Age Gaps-Student/Teacher-Daddy Kink
• Fatshaming
• Non-Canonical Major Character Death
• For Porn: Watersports

Other Things I don’t really care for (but won’t get offended if they’re included if the rest of the fic is great):

• Domestic Fic (including Coffee Shop or other Mundane AUs. (Highschool/College AUs NOT included)
• Pining (especially prolonged pining)
• Jealousy
• For Porn: non-con

DO Wants

• Crossovers!! I love a good crossover/fusion. If I don’t look like I know the other canon, that’s fine as long as you can link me to a primer or good wiki article or something.
• People pushing societal boundaries, people pushing their own boundaries, or people being pushed by external forces
  • Bonding (not soulmates but the “oh no we locked eyes and now can’t be more than 20 feet apart for 2 years” type of bonding, this also includes Sentinel AUs)
  • Gender shit (genderswap, crossdressing, alpha or omegas not “acting the way they should”)
  • Porn-wise: sex pollen and heat fic fall into this delightfully
• Creature!Fic (werewolves, mermaids, moon spirits, oh my!)

• Professional Gamer/ESports/Streamer AUs (PLEASE.) (any game, but especially DOTA2 because that’s the one I follow IRL)
• Serial Killer AUs (I know I said no sad fic, but I love happy serial killers)
• Epistolary/Social Media
• Outsider POV
• Not!Fic/Meta/Non-Traditional Storytelling
• For Porn: BDSM, Bondage in general, Crossdressing in a sexy context, orgasm denial/control, Tentacle Porn, Sex Pollen, Heatfic, X-Made-Them-Do-It (Caveat here to remind you about the humiliation no-go and to say that with all the dub-con stuff I love it but I like it best when both parties are dub-con’d so no one is taking advantage of the situation.)

Pairings

I don't focus on pairings so much as specific characters. I've requested the characters I am interested in seeing. If I have specific pairings in mind I’ll let you know in the fandom specific part. If you don't see your favourite rare-pairing for a character there but really want to share the good news that is that pairing it is probably cool! I'm a super fan of threesomes/moresomes/polyamory so if you want to go there I'll be right there with you. I will eat it up with a spoon if you give me a crossover pairing.

Now on to specifics :) I'm just going to throw out a bunch of ideas. Feel free to take what you want and discard what you don't like.

 

Dota 2 RPF

Welcome to my Real Life Sports Anime fandom. It has “childhood” (by which I mean teenagers) friends starting a team together, betrayal at the last moment for a chance at more glory, bringing a previous member out of retirement, the coach playing, finding a kid from Nowhere who is MVP, and fighting their way from the absolute bottom to win the biggest tournament. Team OG’s Cinderella story is in a documentary HERE. The only further things to know are that Dota2 teams roster shuffle a lot and that no one has won TI twice (teams or players). And that OG, with no roster shuffles, came back and won it again in 2019. I am expired with feels.  They have two new players now and didn't win TI10 but I love them just as much.

Connected to this is the fact that my queer-radar is apparently stuck on the “queers sit in chairs improperly” meme. Which means that I latched on to N0tail sitting weird in his chair and my brain ran with it. (I have used queer here to be as broad as possible, while in my head I am thinking gay, it doesn't have to be. Feel free to pick whatever gender/orientation you want that falls under the non-cishet umbrella.)

TL;DR I really want fic about N0tail being queer. I'm not super into the ~drama~ of the N0tail/Fly break up but as part of a greater fic I'll happiy read it. Fic about Topson just being like wide eyed and new and winning TI8 would be a delight.  Stuff about Sumail and how he's fitting in as N0tail's newest top boyfriend carry. (Seriously, look at THIS video and tell me they couldn't be dating). Some specific prompts: a long introspective fic about N0tail’s journey towards winning TI8 while being a queer person, a super porny fic about N0tail getting banged by various players in a post win haze, a short hilarious fic where N0tail and his team chill and banter and they joke about his queerness like it is no big deal, a fic where N0tail is an Omega and Fly was his alpha who abandoned him and he built the team back up. Acutally, an a/b/o fic with all the pack bonding/heat/tropes would be AMAZING.

Prozzäk

To be very clear right off the bat, I am looking for fic about the Simon and Milo that exist in the world of Prozzäk’s music videos. I recently (gosh was this really like 2 years ago??) went to a concert of theirs and saw a bunch of their videos again and now have a GREAT NEED for fic. Their plot includes the fact that Simon has to find his soulmate to break the spell so they can go back to their own time/world. Pretty much every video ends with Milo rescuing Simon from something. I DESPERATELY need fic where Milo was Simon’s soulmate all along.

Bloodborne

I'll be real here, I don't even really know what I want.  I haven't read any fic in the fandom and until I saw this in the tag set I didn't even consider it.  At the same time, now that I've seen the option I think it would be really neat! I've watched too many let's plays and live streams of this game, tried to do some deep lore dives and mostly just come up with ???? I guess what I would ADORE would be a storytelling style lore explainer.  I also really love Maria and the Doll and their relationship so anything about them would be amazing.  But seriously, anything that has to do with the general lore/worldbuilding is fantastic.  (Do you want to explain/rate every creepy statue in the game? That would also work XD)
